1. Classified by the number of grinding discs:
The single disc grinder has two grinding discs
The dual disc and DD pulping machines have four grinding discs
2. According to the slurry concentration:
Single disc grinder 10-15%
Double disc grinder and DD grinder 3-5%
High concentration slurry mill (coarse mill) 10-30%
3. According to the inlet of the slurry
Single disc slurry mill: There is only one slurry inlet, which is perpendicular to the grinding chamber for slurry inlet and above the grinding chamber for slurry outlet.
Double disc grinder and DD grinder: Most of them have two slurry inlet ports, with slurry entering on both sides of the grinding chamber and exiting above the grinding chamber.
4. Position and function of the grinding disc gap adjuster:
Single disc grinder: regulator between grinding chamber and motor
The regulator of the double disc grinder and DD grinder is located in the opposite direction of the grinding chamber and motor.
Both single disc and double disc grinders are manually adjustable
DD pulping machine has both automatic and manual adjustment
