Audited Supplier Disc thickener is mainly used for washing and thickening pulp in pulping and paper making process. It dewater by gravity through level difference between pulp out of disc wire and white water in the disc. The pulp at the consistency of 0.8%~1.2% enters into the vat and then is attached to disc sector. The white water in the disc flows into the ends of the hollow shaft through slot and then discharges out. Pulp attached on disc sector is peeled off by high-pressure water. The thickened pulp at the consistency of 3%-6% flows over the plate of adjusting valve into outlet vat where it is discharged out. The outlet consistency and capacity can be regulated by adjusting the rotating speed of the main shaft.
